This all-day celebration of the harvest season offers a unique opportunity to enjoy rural life on an organic family farm, with educational tours, workshops, hayrides and an abundance of food and music.
The Hoes Down has been featured in National Geographic magazine. The Children's Area has been described as “the best in the state.”
There's something for everyone in the family at the Hoes Down. Kids have their own area with arts and crafts, nature walks, storytelling, games, a petting zoo, hay rides, and terrific contests. Other all ages activities include hands-on workshops, craft booths, farmers' market, farm tours, dancing, and much more.

The Wild Affair annual fundraiser offers guests the chance to spend an enchanted evening behind the scenes at the Sacramento Zoo. This annual Gala event includes a delicious full-course gourmet dinner, followed by a silent and live auction with plenty of wine, spirits and endless hors d'oeuvres. Zoo closes early at 1:30 pm

Both sides of the Sacramento River will be buzzing with activities that are fun for the whole flock!
Old Sacramento’s “Duck Central” at Waterfront Park will feature entertainment & family activities, not to mention the hundreds of unique shops, historic museums, and delightful restaurants throughout Old Sacramento. Local music favorite Hans Eberbach (The Nibblers) will dazzle with his soulful sounds while the ducklings enjoy face painting, crafts, games & mascots in Quacky's KidZone.
In West Sacramento, festivities will be included as part of the popular “Neighbors Fair”- which kicks off at 11am with a hometown parade, followed by a full day of fun at Riverwalk Park including live bands, food and wares from local artisans.
The ceremonial DUCK DUMP where thousands of rubber ducks will be dumped off the I Street Bridge and race to the Tower bridge, will be held at 3PM and winners announced at 4PM. You do not need to be present to win on of the many fabulous prizes! All proceeds from the race will support Special Olympics Northern California.

The City of Davis, Community Services Department presents: Hardwater at the Veterans Memorial Theatre. Hardwater is a band based in Davis, performing original songs and covers, bringing unique musical impulses to a diverse mix of tunes from the Beatles, Bob Dylan and the Grateful Dead to Counting Crows, Barenaked Ladies and the Dave Matthews Band. The sound is a mélange of rock, blues, folk and roots, reflecting the eclectic tastes of core band members John Swann, guitar and vocals; Bob Lindley, violin, baritone violin and electric mandolin; Johnny Flores, drums and percussion; Eve West Bessier, vocals and percussion; and Rob Gonzalez, bass and vocals.

WORLD'S GREATEST BICYCLE PARADE

Davis Central Park
(Parade participants should arrive to the staging area between 8:00 am and 9:00 on the morning of the Parade.)
Davis will pedal through history to set the Guinness World Record for the Longest Single Line of Bicycles. Register to be a part: http://www.worldsgreatestbicycleparade.com/ or just come for the fun.
A festival in Central Park will be park of the celebration including a BBQ, fun activity area for kids, and live entertainment. Kids area will have an obstacle course, bounce house, face painting station, bicycle propelled carousel, and inflatable batting cages. Booths will be selling freshly made cotton candy and ice-cold snow cones. Cal Aggie Band-uh will kick off this fun filled festival beginning at 10:30 am. More live entertainment will begin at 12:00 pm at the Oak Tree Deck. Enjoy the musical talents of Davis’ Junior and Senior High school music groups. Local bands will be performing near the Beer and Wine Garden.

BARK'N'SPLASH

Davis is going to the dogs! Bring your canine companions for an afternoon of fun where dogs will be allowed to swim and play in Community Pool and Park. This family-oriented afternoon features contests, entertainment, and dog-related vendors/services for the whole family to participate in.
Pool space is limited. Two 45 minute timeslots will be offered for splashing around in Community Pool, first at noon-12:45 p.m., then at 1:00-1:45 p.m. Register early, as only 75 dogs will be allowed per timeslot. Please note: Human companions will not be permitted to enter the water. Dogs must remain on a leash when on the pool deck.
Pre-register at the Community Services Department in City Hall, 23 Russell Boulevard.
Presale tickets are $8.00 per dog, or $10.00 at the event.
Human companions are free.
On-site registration begins at 11:45 a.m. and will continue throughout the event.
